Mobility Programs
Medicine ULisboa for Health, Clinical Research and Innovation - MUHCRI
Connecting researchers,
institutions, and ideas
across borders
We recognise international collaboration and mobility as essential drivers of excellence, innovation, and knowledge exchange in clinical research and academic medicine.
Our strategic vision includes fostering international partnerships, participating in education and training networks, promoting joint and collaborative programmes, and creating opportunities for researchers and clinicians to engage in international experiences.
By strengthening connections across institutions, disciplines, and countries, we aim to contribute to a dynamic, diverse, and internationally connected research ecosystem.
CURRENT INITIATIVES
Erasmus Mundus
Design Measures
(EMDM)
We are proud to participate in the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures programme, supporting the development of innovative and internationally integrated educational initiatives in higher education and research.
MRI Project
Medical Research and Innovation: bridging the gap between clinical practice and research (2025-2026)
The MRI project is an interdisciplinary training initiative designed to strengthen the connection between biomedical research, clinical practice, and innovation.
Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.
Developed within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) programme, the project aims to support the preparation of a joint consortium application for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM), fostering international collaboration in advanced medical research training.
The programme is tailored for medical doctors aspiring to become physician-scientists, as well as life scientists and engineers seeking to specialise in medical research and innovation. By equiping medical doctors with research expertise and scientists with medical knowledge, MRI aims to prepare a new generation of multidisciplinary researchers capable of translating scientific discoveries into meaningful advances in healthcare.
